Bio Calendula Moisturising Cream 30 ml

This versatile moisturising cream is a must-have in every home. Besides soothing calendula, it contains substances that occur naturally in the skin and strengthen the skin barrier weakened by cold, wind or air conditioning. The formula also includes the well-known hyaluronic acid, which binds water in the skin and restores its suppleness. The cream further contains plant oils and shea butter to nourish the skin, as well as prebiotic inulin to support a balanced skin microbiome.

This calendula moisturiser suits all skin types, including sensitive and eczema-prone skin, and gently cares for delicate children's skin too. Thanks to its rich texture, the cream works well as part of both your morning and evening routine – dry skin will make it part of its daytime care, while oily and combination skin will rather include it in the evening routine.

A complete skincare ritual

Step 1: First, cleanse your skin with the Bio Calendula Cleansing Foam — apply it to a slightly damp face, gently massage it into the skin, then rinse off.

Step 2: To finish cleansing, use a toner or one of our facial boosters. Both the toner and the booster help prepare the skin for the next steps and support the absorption of the active ingredients in the serum and cream.

Step 3: Apply a few drops of the Bio Calendula Protective Serum to cleansed and toned skin. Gently massage the serum into the skin and let it absorb for a moment.

Step 4: You can further boost hydration and the absorption of active ingredients by spritzing one of our floral waters onto your face, neck and décolleté.

Step 5: As the final step, apply the Bio Calendula Moisturising Cream. Massage it into the skin with gentle circular motions and let it absorb for a moment. Depending on your skin type, you can apply the cream in the morning and in the evening. Dry skin will appreciate it more in the morning, oilier skin in the evening.

Storage: Store at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.

• Calendula – floral water and extract in one formula: the water refreshes and prepares the skin, while the concentrated extract soothes irritated areas.
• Brown seaweed extract – a soothing ingredient for skin that reacts to cold, wind or stress with redness.
• Aloe vera – juice from the fleshy leaves soothes and refreshes skin after sun exposure or when dried out by frost.
• Hyaluronic acid – binds water in the skin, hydrates it and restores its suppleness.
• Sodium PCA – a natural component of the skin's natural moisturising factor, which binds water in the skin. However, frequent washing, dry air and ageing deplete it, so it is worth replenishing from the outside.
• Xylitol complex – a trio of sugar molecules that helps the skin manage moisture well, even in freezing weather, smog or an air-conditioned office.
• Ceramides and squalane – lipids similar to those naturally present in the skin, which decrease with age. They replenish the skin's protective lipid layer without leaving it greasy.
• Plant oils and shea butter – jojoba oil is similar in structure to the skin's own sebum; evening primrose oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, including the rare gamma-linolenic acid, which the skin uses to maintain firmness and elasticity; oat oil relieves the feeling of tightness; and shea butter acts as a layer that keeps moisture locked in the skin.
• Vitamin E and rosemary extract – natural antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental stressors.
• Inulin and BIOME Oléoactif® – inulin serves as food for beneficial bacteria on the skin's surface. BIOME Oléoactif (a trademark of Hallstar France SAS) is a unique active oil derived from a beneficial bacterium from the depths of a thermal spring. It contains rare fatty acids found nowhere else in nature. Together with inulin, it helps maintain a balanced skin microbiome and strengthens the skin's natural barrier.
